Electric and hybrid cars for hire in Tenerife

Four cars that use less fuel, or none. The Toyota C-HR Hybrid starts from 30 € a day, the Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid and the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid add more room and a higher seat, and all three charge themselves while you drive, so there is nothing to plug in. The Kia EV6 is the only fully electric car in the fleet: plan longer days around public chargers and check connector and status on MITECO Ruta-e before you set off. Hybrids feel at home on the long climb to Teide, where they recover energy on the way down. Plan the route with our Teide National Park road trip and three days in Tenerife by car, or compare the whole fleet in our car and convertible rental in Tenerife.

Check public points for your route on the official MITECO Ruta-e map. Listings can change; confirm the connector, access and current operating status with the charge-point operator before relying on a stop. Check whether the exact vehicle page lists its connector; if it does not, confirm it with the rental operator.

A model name alone cannot confirm a Teide return trip. Check the exact EV6 version offered for your dates and current route/charging information; a published range figure is not a guarantee for a specific journey. If a suitable charging stop cannot be confirmed, plan a different route or vehicle before booking.

A battery-electric car runs on a traction battery and needs external charging. Hybrid systems differ: conventional hybrids generally do not plug in, while plug-in hybrids can be externally charged. Check the exact version on the vehicle page; the label “hybrid” alone does not identify the charging system.

Yes. Electric and hybrid cars are automatic by nature – no clutch, no gears – which makes Tenerife’s hills and roundabouts especially relaxed to drive.

We deliver charged and ready, with insurance included and no payment to send a request; a 100 € prepayment confirms the booking and counts towards the price, and the refundable deposit shown on each car’s page is left only at handover. You can see the full fleet and choose airport or hotel delivery when you book.

A full driving licence and our standard minimum age and experience apply, exactly as for any car – the full details are on our rental terms page.
