A short record can help distinguish what you observed at pickup from what you observed at return. This checklist is for recording facts and following the provider’s instructions; it does not define rental terms or decide responsibility.
At pickup
Write down the local date, time and agreed handover place. Walk around the vehicle with the staff member if available. In good light, photograph each side, wheels, glass and interior; take close-ups of visible marks. Write the date and time beside that photo set in your notes, or include a clear time reference in a separate frame. Do not rely only on file timestamps: they can be missing, changed or displayed in another time zone. Ask the staff member to add any observation to the handover record and keep a copy. A photo alone may not replace that record.
Before setting off
Note the displayed mileage or other dashboard readings if relevant to your booking documents. Ask which keys and accessories are handed over and how the provider wants them returned. Follow the written instructions for your booking rather than assuming a universal process. While parked, adjust the seat and mirrors, locate the lights and wipers, and ask about unfamiliar controls before moving.
At return
Use the agreed return location and instructions. Write down the local date and time again, take a fresh set of exterior and interior photos, and label or note the time for this second set too. Include visible dashboard readings where useful and safe to record while parked. Return keys and supplied items as instructed. If a staff member completes a check or gives you a receipt, keep a copy. If no one is present, follow the written instructions and make a factual note of where and when you left the vehicle.
Keep the two records together
Keep original files and a copy you can access during travel. Pair each photo set with its written date, time and the handover or return record. If something does not match, contact the provider through the channel stated in your booking and describe only what you observed. Do not infer cause, liability, charges or refunds from this checklist.
For vehicle options, see the Cabriolet fleet. For airport or hotel location context, read the separate delivery guide; this checklist is about recording pickup and return.
Scope and source
The Spanish traffic authority’s consumer guide to car hire gives general context and says rental policies are set by each company; it does not define MandryCabrio’s procedure. Follow the documents for your own booking.
This checklist makes no claims about inspection procedure, fuel, damage, liability, deposit, refunds, fees, deadlines or contract terms.
